Simulations
Assign a multi-stage simulation — a real-world role, a budget to run, a decision that branches — as take-home work. Each student moves through the stages on their own time, re-skinned to their interests, coached by an AI mentor, and auto-scored, so you see exactly how everyone reasoned without grading a page by hand.

Meet Conjure

One builder.
Both sides of the room.

Describe what you want in a sentence and Conjure builds it from your own material — then hand it out as take-home coursework, or push it live to the class mid-lecture. Same builder, two jobs.

📊
Class Analytics
A live read on the whole class: a mastery grid showing who's strong and who's slipping, concepts ranked by how much the room is struggling, engagement and time-on-task over the last two weeks, and automatic flags on the students who need attention — before a final grade tells you too late.
💬
Just ask AI Insights
Don't dig through the dashboard. Ask in plain language — "who's falling behind?", "which concept is the class struggling with?" — and get a straight answer grounded in your class's real data, with the students and numbers to back it up.
🤖
AI grading — you review
AI evaluates written responses automatically and produces a class-wide summary. The routine grading — clear correct answers, rubric-obvious responses — is handled. You review, adjust anything you want, and move on. No stack of papers. No late nights.
📋
Gradebook built in
Simulation scores, deliberation reasoning grades, workshop peer review quality, poll responses — all in one place. See where specific students are struggling, not just where the class average fell. Export to your LMS or use Kova's gradebook directly.

End-of-semester report
Where the class excelled, where knowledge gaps appeared, what to adjust next time. Data professors rarely have — delivered automatically at semester's end.

Fits your workflow

Kova works inside
the week you already have.

From prep to the live room to the insight after — Lens runs the whole class, and every student is in it.

01 · Before class
Bring your slides into Lens
Upload the deck you already teach from and Lens makes it live. With Conjure, any slide becomes an interactive activity — a personalized simulation, a poll, a group whiteboard — in minutes.
02 · In class
Present it live through Lens
Run your slides full-screen and drop activities onto any one as you teach. Every student responds on their own device — not just the three who raise a hand.
03 · As you teach
See the room with Class Pulse
Lens shows you who's with you, where the class split, and what's landing in real time — so you know exactly when to push on and when to slow down.
04 · After class
Walk away knowing what stuck
Lens captures every response as you teach, so you leave with a clear picture of what each student understood and what to revisit next time — no grading required.
01 · Create
Generate work from your material
Turn your course materials into a simulation, deliberation, or writing assignment in minutes — each one personalized to the student. Or have Kova build something custom.
02 · Assign
Send each student their own version
Push it out with a due date. Because every version is personalized and requires real choices, there's nothing to hand off to a chatbot.
03 · Between classes
Students work. AI coaches.
Students move through it on their own time. The AI mentor answers their questions and pushes their reasoning — before any of it reaches your inbox.
04 · Grading
AI scores. You review.
AI evaluates written responses against your rubric. You review the class-wide summary, adjust any grade, and it syncs straight to your LMS. No stack of papers.

Why we built Kova

We're recent grads,
and we care.

We just went through school ourselves, so we watched it happen in real time. Social media pulled our classmates' attention apart. COVID showed us how fast real learning and real connection could slip away. And now AI is arriving faster than anyone's ready for. Every one of those waves hit students first, and hardest.

We don't think the answer is to ban the technology or wish it away. We think school has to become the one place that still asks students to think for themselves, wrestle with real decisions, and show up as who they are. We built Kova because we care how this generation turns out — and we believe it's worth getting right.

Read the full why →
The shift
AI doesn't replace the need for deep learning. It makes shallow learning irrelevant.
Traditional assessments — essays, reports, case analyses — are now completable without engagement. Kova's tools require judgment, not recall. Students have to think to progress.
FAQ

Frequently asked
questions.

Most professors are live in under 30 minutes. Build from scratch or upload your course materials, review the AI-generated simulation, adjust anything you want, and publish. We offer hands-on setup support — you're never on your own figuring it out. Every semester after that is faster.
Yes — Kova's AI reads your course materials and generates simulations native to whatever you teach. Nursing, law, public policy, engineering, social work, marketing — the simulation will be grounded in your field, not adapted from a generic business template.
Completely. The AI builder generates a first draft from your course material, but every element is editable — the organisation, scenario, career stages, activity types, AI mentor, and more. Publish the draft as-is or adjust every detail.
Simulations and deliberations are interactive — they require real-time decisions and responses that build on each other. A student can't paste the scenario into ChatGPT and get a completed assignment back. Each stage responds to what they actually chose and wrote in the previous one.
Students are given a position prompt and must construct a structured argument. An AI sparring partner challenges their reasoning and pushes back on weak points. Students see a reasoning score that improves as they engage more substantively. Professors see a class-wide position map and individual scores to guide discussion.
Professors assign a creative writing prompt — a Kova-generated "CW beat" grounded in course material, or their own. Students write inside Kova, where drafts autosave until the submission deadline. Then each student reviews two or three anonymized classmates' pieces against a rubric, and writes an author reflection responding to the feedback they receive. Professors see every submission, review, and reflection in one dashboard.
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and row-level security means every account — professor, student, or TA — can only ever access its own data. You own everything you upload, we don't sell your data or use your private course materials to train AI models, and you can export or delete your data at any time. Kova runs on trusted infrastructure (Vercel and Supabase). See our security & trust page for the full details.
The pilot is free — one course, one semester, no credit card. Full access is free for educators; students are $11 per class per semester, or $29 per year across all their classes. Departments and institutions get custom pricing with student access included, and we also build fully bespoke programs. Talk to us and we'll put together the right plan.
